What is a Pocket Gopher?

Pocket gophers are small burrowing animals which have seen their numbers decline in recent decades and are a candidate for protection under the Endangered Species Act. Pocket gopher mounds often look similar to mole mounds, but the shape actually differentiates them.

Developers and potential home builders in Thurston, Mason, and Pierce Counties may now be required by County Planners to conduct a pocket gopher survey prior to building on their property.

Seattle Sidewalks

Skillings Connolly completed sidewalk design for the Seattle Department of Transportation.

As part of Seattle's Sidewalk Development Program, we designed pedestrian improvements along several streets.

This work is part of the larger Bridging the Gap program for transportation maintenance and improvements. These sidewalks are currently under construction.
